Bloom!
Patches of long-ago-planted tulips and daffodils bloomed along many of our city streets a week or so ago, and now, one of my favorite signs of spring is here! The yellow Forsythia (that's one of my neighbor's bushes at the left!) is blooming absolutely everywhere! While the other trees and bushes around here are grudgingly just starting to bud, the Forsythia is visible, tangible proof that spring is finally here, and the long, dark winter is finally over! Another herald of Spring around here are the Easter Egg markets, one of which I visited in Michelstadt two weeks back. It was really amazing: there was practically every type of decorated egg available for purchase there...glass, ceramic and hundreds of real eggshells decorated with everything from calligraphy to crosstitch. I came home with two beautifully decorated eggs of the real variety, both of which are steadfastly refusing to be photographed! So, that endeavor continues...but I have managed to photograph a couple of my early spring outings, and hopefully those pictures will be seeing the light o' the blog soon! Anyway, hope it's getting warm whereever you're reading this from, and HOO-RAY (finally!) for Spring!

You are ahead of SD, but we do have daffodils and the bleeding heart bush is pushing up from the ground about 6 inches!
