Phew!

Okay, so I've narrowly escaped publishing an uber-negative missive on here, focused mostly on just. Exactly. How. Stinkin'. Hot it is in Europe. And it is. Stinkin' hot. With no air conditioning. Anywhere. But ANYWAY, something good has happened today that has distracted me from the opressive heat and humidity that has descended on pretty much the whole of Northern Europe at the moment...and what is that, you might ask? Yes! After much deliberation, long-distance phone calling and what seems like a million emails back and forth, I went to the dealership today and ordered the new car! Phew! And finally, finally I can check that off the 'to do' list, and it's an exciting one! Now it's time to wait for the order confirmation in a couple of weeks, and with any luck, the new car will be here just about the time that M. makes his homecoming! Sweeet! And what if it doesn't get here in time? No worries: M. has already picked out the car that he'd like to rent (or NOT!) And that is...(drumroll, please!)

The Renault Modus! It seems like M. has gotten stuck with this rental model more times than he'd care to recount (even if it was just that once last year...) So, hopefully the Volvo factory will be full steam ahead this summer. If not, though, it might be Modus time, baby!
