The Adventures of Molly Murphy

This blog chronicles my move from the idyllic west to a base in Texas, and eventually, to central Germany where I am living and soaking up all of the techno I can handle.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered...

...my wedding starter iMix (complete with our favorites by Stevie Wonder and Jack Johnson) is now available for browsing on iTunes! Yes, yes, I know: I've succumbed to their marketing. But, boy, was it fun! It's a work in progress, but so far, this has been by far the most enjoyable wedding planning task yet...I'm definintely ready for the party part of the 'big' wedding next June! Plus, the playlist (and the corresponding 'do not play' list!) have given M. and I a whole new range of topics to discuss. Why's that, you ask? Well, M.'s getting ready to submit his wedding playlist...and to make a long story short, I told him that we're going to have to run that baby through an extra-strength Motley Crüe filter, shake off some of the Poison, and at one point I had to level with him and say that no, I don't think that "Rock You Like a Hurricane" is wedding music. Okay, so maybe it is...it is his wedding, too, after all, right? I'm sure he's going to try to put the kibosh on my Pet Shop Boys (noooo!) so I need to play my cards right, here! Anyway, we're excited...and I'm trying to keep occupied while I wait for M. to come home in 7 more weeks...yee haw! It's beautiful here today, and I hope wherever you are, you're enjoying a good weekend too!

Wheeee!

Excitement reigns: the 'big wedding' wedding gown has now been ordered...and a sigh of relief (and a giggle of anticipation!) can just barely be heard as it wafts toward the heavens from a little house, on a little street in central Germany. Only 311 more days until M. and I will celebrate being together again while surrounded by our dearest friends and family: I can hardly wait!

In honor of my upcoming PT test...

So, I have a PT test coming up. I didn't exactly know it was coming. But I'm not all that worried, either, as the upside of M. being gone for a year is that I have had plenty of extra time to spend at the gym. However, with extra time spent at the gym, especially getting ready for the PT-test-I-did-not-know-about, I've recently started to experience a little burnout at the gym. Why? Well, I'm starting to get a little tired of doing pullups. And situps. And just when I thought I couldn't see One. More. Treadmill...I saw this video tonight, and man did it made me laugh! So, ditch your running shoes, kick back, relax and enjoy this hilarious clip...and have a great weekend!
